XXVII Peratallada middle age Fair
ORG: FORALLAC CITY HALL
The history of Peratallada is closely linked to the medieval era. The first written testimonies about the population date from this period.
Some documents from the 10th century mention the numbers "Petra cissa" and "Petra tallada". The castle of Peratallada, around which the population
was sheltered, was the center of the barony that belonged to the aforementioned lineage of the Peratalladas, documented since the XI century.
The ancient town remembers this link with a period fair that is held on the first weekend of October and uses the streets and squares of the
ancient town as a stage, where it is still possible to capture the essence of that period.
If you are an artisan and you are interested in participating in the fair market with your stand, you must present the documentation at the
electronic headquarters of the Forallac City Council: https://forallac.eadministracio.cat/info.0. For more information you can go to the Tourism
Area of the Forallac Town Hall.
