'Break with everything, live the experience': new tourism campaign by Visit Empordanet
Five municipalities of the Baix Empordà come together again to introduce the most authentic and unknown Empordanet, where tradition, passion and landscape converge. A territory that allows you to break away from everything and live the experience at the hands of the local people. A Visit Empordanet campaign with more than 40 affiliated establishments: accommodation, restaurants, companies and entities. All of them offer multiple activities to discover the territory: pottery workshops, visits to workshops, tastings of km 0 products, activities and excursions by the local people.
The campaign has the collaboration of the business fabric of the area and wants to be a reflection of the commitment to a model of responsible tourism, which generates respect between tourists and the local population and which, in turn, contributes to the conservation and diffusion of natural heritage and cultural Therefore, it offers activities that allow visitors to discover the landscape, the towns, the gastronomy and the crafts of our territory by sharing privileged moments with the local population, a very good way to break with everything and live the experience in the Visit Empordanet .
Visit Empordanet, aware of the complexity of the past year, wants to offer to break with everything and live the experience. In this sense, the opening video of the campaign is starred by the mayors themselves or representatives of the municipalities that adhere to the Strategic Plan. In addition to the mayor of Cruïlles, Monells and Sant Sadurní de l'Heura, Daniel Encinas, appear: Raul Yruela, mayor of Corçà; Gerard Cateura, first deputy mayor of Ullastret; Marta Chicot, Councilor for Tourism of Forallac; and Enric Marquès, mayor of Bisbal de Empordà. They leave by breaking the pot from which all the experiences that can be found in the territory will emerge. Breaking the pot is a tradition of ours that was done in celebrations using a clay pot as if it were a piñata and breaking it with a stick. The campaign wants to invite you to break with everything and live the experience of feeling at home in the hands of the local people.
In addition, the opportunity has been taken to update the Visit Empordanet website, making it more understandable and more interactive where the user can find everything that can be done in the territory to be able to plan. This year's guide has also been made interactive so that when you download it it is easy to contact and hire the experiences: it can be downloaded through this link
The campaign has been made possible thanks to the combined efforts of five councils in order to achieve the common goal of boosting the economy of the area, understood as a single territorial area. A project where it is also worth highlighting the willingness of local companies and entities to offer activities aimed at tourists throughout the year to contribute to the deseasonalization of tourism in the summer. In addition to the council of Cruïlles, Monells and Sant Sadurní de l'Heura, the council of Corçà, Forallac, La Bisbal d'Empordà and Ullastret collaborate. This action is part of the line of work aimed at tourism in the framework of the strategic local economic development plan that includes the municipalities of Bisbal d'Empordà, Forallac, Cruïlles, Monells and Sant Sadurní de l'Heura, Corçà and Ullastret.
