Visit the Terracotta Pottery Museum in La Bisbal d’Empordà

Come to the Terracotta Museum, which is housed in a former pottery factory with unique industrial architecture, and during the visit you can find out about the trades (tile makers and potters) and the products involved in the world of pottery and its history in La Bisbal d’Empordà from the Late Middle Ages to the present.

The first written evidence that mentions ther potter profession in La Bisbal d'Empordà dates back to 1.511. Craftsman, creator, artist, almost an alchemist, la Bisbal potters are often the last of a family of potters who have shaped clay for generations.
